The city flower (forsythia)
- The forsythia always foretells an early spring. It grows and reproduces quickly and is a very pretty flower. It symbolizes the hearts of the citizens which are filled with love and aspiration. The fact that it grows well anywhere displays the potential of Anyang citizens.
The city tree (the ginko)
- The ginko lives a long time and is resistant to damage from diseases and insects. It bears fruit well and the leaves are famous for being beautiful. As such, the city planted the ginko as a roadside tree that symbolizes the prosperity of the city.
The city bird (the eagle)
- Heading for the vault of the heavens, the eagle is the prince of the sky when flying. The eagle symbolizes the prosperity of Anyang and the citizens' energetic temperament.
The city mascot (Podongi)
- Podongi is made of grapes and has, long been a symbol of Anyang. He creates the feeling that the city institutions and the citizens are closer together and puts them on friendlier terms with each other.
